In India the equipment business terms & warranties of Railroads are governed by IRS (Indian Railway Standard) terms and conditions (enclosed). Any product sold to Indian Railways or its various subsidiaries, unless otherwise mentioned specifically in tenders or purchase orders get governed by IRS conditions, without any exception whatsoever.
This said- we at Auto Industries begin convincing our marketing & service support to end users, before a product is
conceptualized. The process that follows conceptualization is generally an Expression of Interest (to seek technical opinions from
Various interested global partners), then a final RFQ (Request for qualification) specification is floated for final acceptance by all
possible bidders. Once a RFQ is finalized, it becomes a part of the RFP (request for price) document or the final tender. The

Bidder who gets awarded the contracts are generally those who offer a product which qualifies all mandatory technical requirements and the price offered is lowest. All the future tenders of the same product follow the same RFP and new players for the same/similar product, will need to go through the whole qualification cycle, while existing players may decide the price and bid.

We begin with helping firm to rightly represent itself technically to be able to qualify without any local hurdles, we aid getting right prototype/test approvals by working back and forth between the representing firm and end user. After successful clearance of procedural aspects, we work quickly in getting orders for the representing firms and ensure the orders become an annuity aspect. We also support with any needs to localize non IP related aspects (if requested by the firms), where required we stock items to help clear inventories for firms we represent & this also aids customers plan their production without having to bother for long lead items. Where required we also represent our firms for technical issues or disputes in warranty claims, for certain firms we also provide field service support.
